Materials include works of noted anarchists, such as Emma Goldman and Peter Kropotkin, as well as items protesting the trials of anarchists such as Sacco and Vanzetti and Caplan and Schmidt.

Anti-New Deal Collection
This collection contains books, pamphlets, magazine issues, flyers, and other material related to the opposition of economic programs and policies introduced by President Franklin D. Roosevelt during the Great Depression. Called "The New Deal", the purpose of these programs was to provide relief for the unemployed and poor; recovery of the economy; and reform of the financial system in areas such as banking reform laws, emergency relief, work relief, union protection, and agriculture.

Armed Services Editions (ASE) Paperback Collection
This collection contains a sample of the paperbacks published under by the Armed Services Editions effort during World War II. The 129 titles comprises under ten percent of the 1322 titles published between 1943 and 1947, but it contains a representative sample of the variety of books sent to military personnel around the world, including classic world literature, American classic and popular fiction, mysteries, westerns, humor, history, science, and current events.
